Today was an abnormally sunny day on the south coast of England, with just a tantalisingly subtle hint of spring in the air. In the winter months, I typically stick to warm drinks to stop myself from shivering, but today I decided to blitz up a healthy, refreshing smoothie inspired by the sunshine.
I like to create smoothies which aren’t entirely composed of fruit because they are less sugary and usually healthier than an all-fruit blend. However, if you prefer your smoothies sweeter, kiwi is a great addition to this recipe!
- 1 banana
- A chunk of cucumber
- A handful of spinach
- A splash of coconut water
